The Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity (KOFAC) published a nice article about our project in their online magazine "Science Times". KOFAC is a non-profit organization fully supported by the Korean Government through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Here is the first paragraph roughly translated to English:

Provide knowledge, not free aid

Reading the Jewish scripture, Talmud, teaches us to teach children not to fish but to catch fish. Rather than giving temporary charity, it is meant to cultivate independence so that we can lead a sustainable life.

This Talmud teaching applies to inhabitants of underdeveloped countries. Providing aid only because of the poor surroundings may eventually ruin their future. Thus, experts believe that if they are genuinely in need of people in underdeveloped countries, they should provide education in addition to aid.
