Meet Neha, our Medical Advisor

I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that believes in gender equality and spreading health education to vulnerable communities in every possible way.

My name is Neha Ramjuttun, originally from Mauritius but based in Canada. I’m a medical/health professional with a keen interest in helping people, specifically women, and children in vulnerable communities. I am here to apply my medical background to educate and spread health knowledge to women and children so that they can make informed decisions independently. Furthermore, I believe the more women and children are educated, the less maternal and child morbidity and mortality will occur. Additionally, educating girls, women, and children will give them the confidence and skills needed to stand on their own feet.

While I was studying for my Master’s in Public Health, I was taken aback by the rate of maternal, infant, and child mortality that occurs in developing countries. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of education, and I believe Audiopedia is a great platform for this type of issue.

Volunteering is one of my passions, and I thought to myself - one way I can help women and children is by joining a volunteer organization. In the past, I have volunteered as a medical/health writer for various organizations, but when I found URIDU, I realized this is a platform I can resonate with.

I am excited to be part of Audiopedia as a Medical Advisor, and I look forward to creating health educational materials with this organization!
